WANT a car that's stunning to look at and amazing to drive? Then take a look at the beautiful Lotus Evora.
It's a marvellous coupe that shows off the very best of Lotus's amazing chassis skills and mates them to a superb 3.5 V6 mid-mounted Toyota engine.
Scintillating performance, should you want to use it, is akin to that of a Porsche Cayman and, with the Toyota engine, problems should be few and far between.
All have the same power unit, but in top models, it's supercharged to give a heady 346bhp. I think the standard car's 276bhp would be quite enough for me. That's enough to reel in the horizon like a fighter jet.
A lightweight aluminium chassis attached to perfectly tuned suspension shows that if you know what you're doing - and Lotus most certainly does - you can produce a marvellous driving machine that can still be a quiet and relaxed cruiser.
Inside are superb figure-hugging seats, a lovely sports steering wheel and stainless steel control buttons, but although some are 2+2, the rear seats are only for shopping.
There's just one trim level, with air con, Recaro leather seats and a CD player, but you could find one with options like switchable sports mode to sharpen the response, sat nav, parking sensors and cruise.
