Mid-life makeover

for Peugeot 5008

Peugeot 5008

PEUGEOT'S versatile 5008 compact MPV has been given a mid-life revamp comprising internal and external upgrades, a higher specification and new equipment.

The makeover sees the seven-seater inherit the French brand's family face with the ‘floating' front grille that's already a feature of the Peugeot 208 supermini and recently-launched 2008.

It's flanked by redesigned headlamps with a new LED signature built into the lower part - with chromed trim on either side.

Enhanced kit is available at every level and though there's a small price increase - £200 on Access, £300 on Active and £350 on Allure grades - the value of the new spec outweighs the cost.

Starting from £18,800 with the Access 1.6-litre VTi 120bhp petrol variant, the entry level diesel model is the 1.6-litre HDi FAP 115bhp at £20,495.

And the e-HDi FAP EGC - electronic gearbox control - version has the lowest CO2 emissions of 113g/km and is priced at £21,345

The front and rear parking assistance can be supplemented by a reversing camera and there's now also a head-up display.

Starting point for CO2 emissions is 113g/km and the 5008 range consists of six engines/transmission combinations, two petrol and four diesels, with manual, or automatic gearboxes.

Inside, where there's an elevated seating position, there are five individually retractable seats - three in the second row and another two behind - which fold to create a flat floor.

Nine colours are now available, including the new Rich Oak and Artense Grey, enhanced with extra chrome trim around the windows.
