Volkswagen Golf Match

TWO upgraded versions of the Golf Match hatchback are being introduced by Volkswagen.

The new Golf Match Edition models feature enhanced satellite navigation systems including real time traffic information and are priced from £19,840.

Volkswagen says the cars - available in both three and five door bodies - replace the current Golf Match models and the first ones will be on the road in January.

All meet the latest EU 6 emission standards with the Golf Match BlueMotion Edition powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine developing 115ps and rated at 65.7mpg with a CO2 figure of 99g/km.

The Golf Match Edition line up is priced from £20,400 to £24,840 and features 1.4-litre petrol engines as well as 1.6 and 2.0-litre diesels.

The 1.6-litre diesel which costs from £21,405 for a three-door, five speed manual is the most economical of the new models with a claimed fuel return of 74.3mpg (99g/km).

All versions come with 16-inch alloys as standard and with the new sat nav system operating from a larger 6.5-inch colour touchscreen. The cars are also fitted with adaptive cruise control and anti-collision systems which are extras on most other models in the Golf range.
