PEUGEOT is introducing a new limited-run special edition of the award-winning 208 hatchback.

Named the 208 XS, it adds an additional trim level to the range and will be limited to just 2,000 units.

It will be available with one of the most efficient engines in the supermini class - Peugeot's 1.2-litre PureTech 82bhp petrol engine and comes in both three and five door body styles based on the mid-grade 208 Active specification.

The 208 XS features 16-inch alloy wheels, front fog lights, exterior personalisation and white paint as standard.

There is also a choice of five colours and two exterior personalisation packs. Bianca White, Nera Black metallic or the Ice Silver textured paint come with a Lime Yellow exterior pack. Virtual Blue and Orange Power metallic come with a Menthol White exterior pack.

Other features on the special Peugeot 208 include 16-inch grey alloy wheels, a gloss black surround for the grille and gloss black door mirrors with coloured accents either in white or yellow. To further distinguish the XS from other 208 variants, XS badging is present on both front wings.

All 208 XS models feature a seven-inch multifunction colour touchscreen, DAB radio, Bluetooth and cruise control with speed limiter.

The new model is available to order now priced from £13,495 - a premium of £500 over the Active vehicles.
