AS the Rio Olympics kicks off Peugeot is going for gold with a new paint job on its 108 city car.

The new Golden Yellow colour scheme is one of a number of fresh finishes for the little hatchback which is now available in four additional two tone variations.

To coincide with the arrival of the new 66 registration plates, Peugeot is also cutting the price of all but the entry-level 108 by £420 until the end of September and releasing two special editions of the larger 208 hatch in Active Design and Allure Premium specification.

The 208 Active Design has extra body styling and additional interior personalisation options while the Allure Premium includes sat nav, a panoramic sunroof and a reversing camera which the company says reperesent a saving of more than £1,000.

Peugeot is running a 4.9 per cent APR finance offer on all 108, 208 and 2008 crossover models during August and September in addition to its Just Add Fuel scheme which includes three years roadside recovery and servicing plus road tax and insurance for a fixed monthly payment.

Further incentives, including a £1,040 deposit contribution are also available on the 208 special editions if bought with finance or Just Add Fuel before the end of September.
