Mitsubishi launches
special edition PHEV
A HIGH specification special edition of the Outlander plug-in hybrid called the Juro is being released by Mitsubishi.
The Juro is being offered at £32,749, the same price as the Outlander PHEV GX3h+ on which it is based, and comes with a touchscreen CD/DVD infotainment unit with TomTom satellite navigation, smartphone integration and DAB radio as standard.
The exterior is enhanced with a new-look to the bonnet featuring a prominent Outlander emblem.
Mitsubishi claims that the Outlander hybrid is the UK's best-selling plug-in hybrid electric vehicle and the new offering comes fully loaded with features, including cruise control, 18-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, the Mitsubishi PHEV app allowing for remote control of certain functions and dual-zone climate control.
The Outlander PHEV can travel up to 32 miles in electric mode alone and has been acknowledged as a breakthrough model in the UK's emerging plug-in hybrid sector.
With a rechargeable petrol-electric powertrain the Outlander PHEV has a theoretical fuel return of 156mpg and emissions of 42g/km making it hugely attractive to business users.
In 2013, the year before its arrival, the total plug-in hybrid market across all marques stood at just 989. Mitsubishi has sold more than 25,000 Outlander PHEVs in the UK since its launch in 2014, making it the nation's favourite plug-in vehicle.
