AN upmarket new supermini is on the way from Kia if the first glimpse of the next generation Picanto is anything to go by.
A revised interior with a tablet-style display screen is just one of the features revealed in the first artist's impressions of the car.
Due to be unveiled later in 2017 the third generation Picanto has much sharper body lines and incorporates Kia's trademark ‘tiger nose' grille.
Deep cut air vents and a rear diffuser give the Picanto a sporty persona while LED lights front and back are included.
The inside of the car reveals that an automatic transmission, full connectivity and heated front seats will be available on the new model.
Kia says there will be plenty of personalisation options available to make the car competitive against the likes of the Citroen C1 and Toyota Aygo.
The new Picanto is likely to make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March and be on sale before the year is out.
