About Cataclean

Cataclean is a premium engine and fuel system cleaner, developed to exceed the most recent environmental standards. The product contains solvents that can break down deposits in fuel delivery systems formed by oxidation and polymerisation of hydrocarbon. When Cataclean combusts it forms carboxylic acids, aldehydes and active peroxy compounds. When these compounds reach the exhaust vapours, they clean inside the catalytic converter, removing carbonaceous deposits from the surface of the core. The result is an increase in the catalyst’s ability to remove harmful exhaust emissions such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides.

Cataclean has also proven effective at helping to maintain the diesel particulate filter (DPF) in cars and vans. For this reason, Cataclean is now carried by all the RAC’s 1,400 patrol vehicles.

The Cataclean product range is suitable for cars, vans, motorcycles and specialist industrial/heavy duty machinery. Keeping engines clean, it helps to reduce emissions, restore performance and improve fuel economy.

Directions of how to use Cataclean are very simple and straightforward:

Empty entire contents of one bottle of Cataclean into a quarter-full tank (approx. 15 litres) of fuel then drive the vehicle for at least 15 minutes before refuelling again when necessary. For best results, it is recommended that Cataclean be used once every three months.
