Giulietta prices
ALFA ROMEO'S stylish new Giulietta model will cost from £16,995 when it reaches showrooms in the summer.
The much heralded VW Golf rival gets its public unveiling at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from July 2-4, where the Italian company is celebrating its centenary as the featured marque.
And the cool-looking five-door features three petrol engines - a 1.4-litre TB 120bhp, a 1.4 TB MultiAir 170bhp model and a flagship ‘1750' TBi 235bhp model that will carry the brand's sporty Cloverleaf badge, plus two turbodiesels in the shape of 1.6 JTDM-2 105bhp and 2.0 JTDM-2 170bhp units.
Trim levels are in the familiar Turismo, Lusso and Veloce grades, while the Cloverleaf range-topper will have exclusive exterior and interior touches and will cost £24,495.
Alfa is pledging cutting edge features including MultiAir petrol and second generation MultiJet diesel engines and a traction system which alters the car's behaviour to suit varying road conditions and driving styles.
Standard equipment includes air conditioning, electric front and rear windows, Start&Stop, LED front and rear lights, six airbags and the DNA traction system.
Exclusive features for the Giulietta Cloverleaf include 18-inch alloy wheels with a dark titanium finish, dark tinted windows, red painted brake calipers and the Cloverleaf badge. Top speed is a claimed 150 mph with a 0-62mph acceleration time of 6.8 seconds.
Prices start at £16,995 for the 1.4 TB 120bhp Turismo model while entry to MultiJet diesel power is £17,895 for the 1.6 JTDM-2 105bhp Turismo. The starting point for MultiAir petrol is the 1.4 TB 170bhp Lusso at £19,495.
