Infiniti torques up

second diesel

Infiniti EX30d

INFINITI'S new EX30d compact crossover will cost from £35,975 when it goes on sale in July.

It is the second model in the Infiniti range after the FX30d to get the new V6 diesel engine and, significantly, it will cost less than the petrol-powered equivalent.

No surprise then that diesel models are expected to account for eight out of every ten EX sales.

Topping the line-up is a new GT Premium version equipped as standard with safety technology, some of which has only just made available on any Infiniti in Europe.

The package includes features that return the car to its correct lane on the motorway and give the driver warning of impending collisions.

Despite more engine torque than even Infiniti's petrol V8, the EX30d delivers more miles per gallon and emits less CO than the petrol EX models.

The key figures are 33.2mpg on the combined cycle, 0-62 mph in 7.9 seconds, 137mph top speed and 224g/km of CO emissions with standard seven-speed automatic transmission.
