THE new generation Mercedes-Benz CL with a revised range of engines is in showrooms now.

At the heart of the sleek new coupe are the very latest V8 petrol engines which bring massive benefits to these high performance coupes.

With greater attention to detail Mercedes has managed to raise power output by 12%, cut fuel bills and emissions.

The petrol 4.6, 435bhp V8 gains 12% more power, a huge amount more torque, and fuel consumption is down 22% over previous versions.

The CL63 AMG has a new 5.5-litre V8 with twin turbos and has been completely retuned to give an amazing 544bhp.

This will tear up the tarmac as you can imagine, reaching 62 from rest in just 4.5 seconds.

Mercedes has included stop/start technology to ease fuel bills and the latest driver aids such as active lane assist, blind spot monitors, radar and camera assistance systems and even cross wind stabilisation.

As you should expect, the inside matches the car's driving technology, with sat nav and everything else you could think of included.
