THE latest revisions to Honda's top-selling Jazz supermini claim improved comfort and greener credentials.

The range will include a hybrid for the first time, in keeping with Honda's aim of offering hybrid versions of all its cars in the near future.

This model also comes with standard CVT automatic gearbox - something which is an option for other cars in the range, and replaces the i-Shift auto because of customer demand.

The hybrid is ultra-efficient, with combined economy of 62.8mpg and emissions of just 104g/km - the lowest of any automatic car in its class.

It uses the same electric drive system as the Insight where the electric motor helps the petrol when more power is needed.

The established 1.2 and 1.4-litre i-VTEC petrol engines remain and both have been fettled to give small reductions in CO2 and improved economy.

Honda has revised the suspension settings to increase ride comfort and improve handling, and has given the steering a firmer more positive feel.

Leather upholstery will be available for the first time in all models and standard in the hybrid.

All get chrome edged air vents and this, with other new interior touches, adds more of a quality feel to the cabin.

The ‘Magic Seats' known for their flexibility and cargo-carrying configurations can now be reclined 73mm to increase rear passenger comfort.
