AN uprated version of Aston Martin's Vantage supercar is on the horizon featuring a more powerful V8 engine pushing its top speed to almost 190mph.
The Vantage S also marks the debut of a new seven speed semi-automatic transmission and a traction system which the company says makes the car more driver-focused.
Powered by a 4.7-litre V8 which now develops 430bhp, the Vantage S has a maximum speed of 189mph - bridging the gap between the standard Vantage and the GT4 racing car.
Although acceleration figures are not yet available, the car is said to average 21.9mpg with CO2 emissions of 299g/km.
Prices are still to be announced but the standard Vantage currently costs £88,995.
