Eos signals new look
at VW
FOLLOWING its debut at the Los Angeles Motor Show, the revised Eos cabriolet is now on sale in UK with a starting price of £22,895.
Featuring a new look and offering a fresh range of comfort and convenience technologies the Eos remains the only vehicle of its kind to feature a five piece metal folding hard top complete with an integrated glass sunroof.
The new model has now been brought into line with the styling direction adopted by the Polo, Golf and Passat, with a new bumper, a horizontal grille, a set of new headlights similar to those found on the Golf as well as a new bonnet and front wings. At the rear new light units and a bumper are joined by fresh interior trims.
Powering the Eos is a range of powerful yet efficient TSI petrol and TDI diesel engines ranging from 122bhp to 210bhp, each equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox or, on selected models, the option of a six-speed DSG gearbox.
The cleanest and most fuel efficient versions of the Scirocco and Passat CC yet produced have been unveiled in the form of BlueMotion Technology models.
All entry-level Scirocco and GT trim models with the 2.0-litre 140ps engine now feature BlueMotion Technology modifications including Stop/Start and battery regeneration systems to help to create the cleanest and most fuel efficient Scirocco to date.
The Passat CC line-up has also been updated and sees BlueMotion Technology models join the range in place of existing diesel versions. As with the Scirocco range, the new additions to the Passat CC range have been modified to optimise efficiency and economy, with regenerative braking and Start/Stop systems fitted to the four-door coupé for the first time.
Scirocco prices start at £22,800 and the Passat CC £22,800.
The all-new VW Jetta is also available to order. It is a completely new model and will appeal to those wanting a booted motor with superb styling and frugal fuel use.
Starting price for the new Jetta is £17,000 with delivery starting early May.
