CLASSIC sports car company Morgan has gone back to its roots by unveiling a three-wheel, open top two-seater.
Looking every bit like the original Morgan of the 1930s, the new 3 Wheeler is a fun car which can be finished in some riotous paint jobs.
One version shown as the car made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show was dressed up to resemble a Second World War fighter complete with RAF roundels.
The 3 Wheeler is the Worcestershire car firm's reincarnation of the famous Threewheeler of 70 years ago which was characterised by its exposed V twin engine.
Morgan says the new car has plenty of power from a 115bhp engine and the model has already been approved by US and European transport authorities.
As with the original, it is ideal as a hill climber and Morgan points out the car still holds long distance speed records for one-litre models set in the 1930s.
Costing around £25,000 excluding VAT the 3 Wheeler can be specified with bespoke leather and paint at extra cost as on the classic Morgan.
Other extras are a polished engine, stainless steel tailpipes and polished cowl, headlamps. Roll hoops can also be fitted for a more classic look.
The graphic packs to decorate the car include US military and RAF inspired logos, oval racing numbers and stripes, a fearsome shark nose, chequered winner's bonnet, official national flags and the Morgan wings.
