Kia launches top
spec pro_cee'd
THE eye of the tiger is focused on increased sales as Kia launches a new top spec pro_cee'd model to its family car line-up.
This facelifted pro_cee'd 4 leaps ahead of the existing ‘3' version and features both the tiger nose Schreyer grille - named after Kia's design guru Peter Schreyer - and a new higher output 1.6-litre diesel engine.
With this 126bhp unit under the bonnet, the pro_cee'd can accelerate from 0-60 in a fraction over 10 seconds and manage a top speed of 122mph.
The new model also comes on 17-inch alloy wheels and boasts black bezel headlights and privacy glass to help create a sporty appeal, while the cabin has black leather upholstery combined with front heated seats and leather trimmed steering wheel.
Cruise control is fitted as standard with controls on the steering wheel for driver convenience.
For the first time in the cee'd range, the new ‘4' grade adds, as standard, an integrated sat-nav system with seven-inch colour touch screen system.
The price is £18,495 and extra features include European maps, points of interest and multi-route planning.
The Bluetooth system can be operated through the touch screen with the ability to download mobile phone directories from up to eight mobile phones, and there's also a reversing camera.
