NOT that most of us will ever be able to afford one but Porsche has just unveiled the latest Carrera 4 GTS and we can always dream.
Just imagine - 408bhp from a 3.8-litre flat six behind your left ear - and enough cash to buy and run it. Roll on the lotto.
Porsche claims the new 911 model offers even better traction and agility than the standard car - which is hard to believe - but all wheel drive means it should certainly be easier to manage in the wet.
The four-wheel drive includes Porsche Traction Management (PTM) to give greater driving stability, traction and agile handling.
It does this by directing just as much power as needed to the front wheels at any given time for best balance.
There is also a limited-slip rear differential which adds even more to the dynamic performance of the electronically-controlled all-wheel drive.
The new model comes with a sports exhaust for a distinctive sound and many other visual tweaks to distinguish it from lesser Porsche models.
Inside are sports seats, Alcantara trim and steering wheel cover, and the Porsche Communication Management with touch-screen audio control.
