With incredible curves, a sweeping roofline and muscular wheel arches, this Beamer looks the business from every angle.

Onlookers will stop in their tracks as the 6-Series rolls by and cannot fail to be impressed with its athletic elegance.

Eye-catching features include 19-inch alloys with run-flat tyres, LED headlights, black brake callipers and dark chrome twin tailpipes.

And those high standards are just as apparent once you take your seat behind the multi-function, sports steering wheel.

You will find yourself surrounded by the finest materials and technology such as the Black Dakota leather seats, start/stop function, cruise control, a 10.2-inch high-resolution colour flatscreen with sat nav, a brilliant audio system compatible with every modern music device imaginable, automatic lights and wipers with heated washer jets and plenty more besides.

There is even a head-up display so you can keep a watchful eye on your speed without taking a moment's glance from the road ahead.

Comfort levels are exceptionally good for a coupe thanks to the very supportive sports seats that can be adjusted every which way possible and even offer additional lumbar support. Space in the rear seats is very limited which is typical of a coupe model.

But there is a good-sized boot which can be opened at the press of a button on your key fob - very handy when approaching the car with bundles of shopping bags.

And elsewhere, there are plenty of smaller but handy storage options available.

So, the 6-Series Coupe looks fantastic, is packed to bursting with quality features and the attention to detail cannot go unmentioned, but what about performance?

Once again, this car is a real winner. It loves to be driven and I loved driving it.

The 3.0-litre, diesel driven engine offers incredible power and very smooth, but feisty acceleration. The road-holding is exceptionally good even in wetter conditions and cabin noise pretty low.

You can elect to let the car do all the gear changes as it works its way effortlessly through the eight-speed transmission or take control yourself using steering wheel-mounted paddle shifts.

And there is a selection of driving modes to choose from. Comfort mode offers the more gentle driving dynamics, whereas the sport mode makes everything that little bit edgier.

The all-round visibility is okay, but not fantastic. Yet there are all-round cameras to assist when manoeuvring in and out of tighter spaces.

The vehicle has an array of first class safety features such as automatic stability control, anti-lock brakes, numerous airbags and lots more.

All in all, the 6-Series Coupe is a fantastic looking car that certainly delivers on performance too.
