KOREAN car maker Hyundai is celebrating with a high five as it gets ready to launch the new generation i30 Tourer which hits dealerships in less than a month's time.

The new load lugger is the fifth new model from the company this year and will go on sale from July 23 priced from £16,195 for the entry level, 1.6-litre 120PS Classic model.

Following in the footsteps of the New Generation i30 Hatchback launched in March, the i30 Tourer is claimed to have greater luggage capacity than most key competitors and even larger than some bigger estates with a load compartment which will swallow 528 litres with the rear seats in position and a mighty1,642 litres when they're folded.

There's a choice of two engines - either the 120PS 1.6 litre petrol unit or 1.6 CRDi diesel with power outputs of either 110PS or 128PS. Both engines are coupled to a six-speed manual with automatic transmission available as an option.

Four trim levels are available starting with Classic, which comes as standard with Bluetooth connectivity and voice recognition, multi-function steering wheel and air conditioning. Body coloured door handles and mirrors are also standard along with LED daytime running lights.

Active trim starts at £17,295 and adds alloy wheels, cruise control with speed limiter, rear parking sensors, electric rear windows and a leather steering wheel and gear knob.

Style variants start at £20,095 and add extra luxury features including dual zone climate control, automatic headlights and front wipers, front parking sensors and electrically folding door mirrors. The range-topping Style Nav model adds touchscreen navigation plus a rear view parking camera for a £1,000 premium over the Style trim.

Two option packs are available on Style and Style Nav models. The Convenience Pack costs £750 and features keyless entry, engine start/stop button, chrome exterior door handles with illumination, puddle lamps and automatically folding door mirrors.

The £1,000 Individual Pack takes luxury to the next level with leather upholstery, heated front seats plus the supervision cluster with LCD Colour Display. A panoramic sunroof costing £950 can also be specified.
