IF YOU'VE got a banker-sized bonus due and want to splash out on a new set of wheels, Aston Martin has something that may interest you.
And, at a mere £150,000, the awesome new V12 Vantage Roadster will only make a tiny dent in your annual prize-pot.
This new sports car - described as ‘extreme' by its makers - is only available as a limited edition in selected markets worldwide.
It's the most potent example of the open-top Vantage range with the breath-taking power of Aston Martin's naturally aspirated six-litre, 517PS, V12 engine.
Mated, as in the Coupe version, to a six-speed manual gearbox, it has electrifying performance, racing from rest to 62 mph in just 4.5 seconds and with the potential to max out at a mind-blowing 190 mph.
The Roadster shares most of the technical and specification features of the V12 Vantage Coupe, but some elements have been redesigned including a new rear boot lid and lower front air intake plus a modified rear damper set-up, front and rear damper valve tuning and a new rear spring design.
Distinguishing features include carbon fibre side strakes, a carbon fibre front splitter and rear diffuser, carbon fibre mirror caps and carbon fibre rear lamp infills - plus a new forged alloy wheel design. Inside, there are other exclusive features that make the new car stand out from its siblings, such as glass switches in the lower centre stack.
