SEAT Exeo Ecomotive

THE take-up of SEAT cars featuring fuel-saving Ecomotive technology is at an all-time high representing 41.3 per cent of all cars sold.

And the situation is set to get even greener with this month's arrival of a new Exeo Ecomotive model.

The newcomer is powered by a 2.0-litre TDI common rail diesel engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and in two outputs - 120PS and 143PS.

But despite the power difference, both emit only 117g/km of CO and return 62.8mpg on the combined cycle.

The addition of start/stop engine technology, an energy recovery system, low rolling resistance tyres and lowered suspension help make the Ecomotive the cleanest, most fuel efficient Exeo yet.

It also places the car into VED band C for the first time, bringing the annual tax bill down from £100 per year to £30 and reduces its Benefit-in-Kind rating to 17 per cent.

The 120PS Exeo Ecomotive S becomes the most cost effective model in the range, with a starting price of £20,040 that includes 16-inch alloy wheels, dual zone climate control, cruise control, voice-activated Bluetooth and a multi-function steering wheel.

SEAT has also launched a summer offer on its Mii Ecomotive, making the city car available for £159 per month with zero deposit.
