SPANISH car maker SEAT has already taken the wraps off its stylish new city car, the Mii.

After wowing onlookers at the Geneva Motor Show the three-door Mii  is now in dealerships across the UK and marks SEAT's return to the highly competitive city car market.

SEAT previously competed in this class in the UK in 2004 with the Arosa and the brand is now set to embark on the most extensive new model offensive in its 26-year history in the UK.

Designed to prove that style, practicality and affordability are not the sole preserve of larger cars, the new Mii is as good looking as it is to drive.

Every element of its design is geared towards maximizing interior space and even on a compact platform the wheelbase is the joint longest in the class creating a surprising amount of room.

In typical SEAT fashion the kit level is good and, with some quite generous boot space and elongated doors aiding access for rear seat passengers, this is quite a passenger friendly car.

Under this small SEAT's svelte bonnet lies a 1.0-litre, three cylinder petrol engine with either 60ps or 75ps output.

The lightweight engine delivers very competitive CO2 emissions as low as 105g/km and the addition of a stop/start system reduces emissions to just 96g/km.

This set-up, in the Ecomotive derivative allows drivers to avoid annual road tax as well as the London congestion charge.

For a small car the Mii handles well and is priced from £7,845 for the S entry level model rising to £9,980 for the Sport derivative.
