Their high levels of customer satisfaction were key to Ford achieving the Motability accolade.
Mike Betts, chief executive of Motability Operations, said: "An increase in applications and some of the strongest Motability scheme performance has seen Ford attain a commended status in the Motability Supplier Awards.
"Ford has continued to support Motability with a superb range of affordable models and a dealer network that consistently delivers excellent customer service."
The B-MAX, with its sliding rear door arrangement and no central body pillar, is ideal for buyers who need easy access to their vehicles.
Ford's Motability manager Petra Hynds said: "Last year was fantastic, with Ford handling more applications from Motability customers than any other manufacturer. We are very pleased to receive this commendation and we are looking forward to another excellent performance in 2012."
Last year Ford delivered more than 13,000 Focus models to Motability customers - more than any other model available under the scheme.
Motability Operations manages the Motability scheme for more than 600,000 disabled people and their families.
Anyone receiving the higher rate mobility component of the government's disability living allowance, or the war pensioners' mobility supplement, can exchange this monthly payment to lease a new car through Motability.
