Ultimate Cayenne's a
fire burner
IT'S the off-road bruiser that can tug a heavy trailer yet still leave some fiery supercars struggling in its wake.
When the latest Porsche Cayenne Turbo S model hits the streets in January the power output of its twin-turbocharged engine will have been boosted by ten per cent to a whopping 550bhp.
It equates to sizzling acceleration of 0-62mph in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 175mph.
With its advanced active chassis dynamics, the five-seater's versatile off-road capabilities, ride comfort and towing power have been preserved while its fuel consumption of 24.6mpg is identical to that of the Cayenne Turbo, which makes it more fuel-efficient in relation to engine power.
The new S model has an extra 50bhp of thrust compared with the Cayenne Turbo, as well as torque boosted from 700 to 750Nm.
From the Cayenne Turbo it takes the combination of an air suspension and active PASM damping control and adds Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, which improves agility and comfort equally.
Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus is also a standard feature, combining torque vectoring on the rear wheels with an electronically controlled rear differential lock to improve traction.
Design highlights include air inlet grilles, headlight housings and mirrors painted in high-gloss black and exclusive 21-inch ‘911 Turbo II' alloy wheels with coloured Porsche centre badges along with new leather interior packages.
The Cayenne Turbo S costs from £107,460.
