CHRISTMAS is coming early for Lexus enthusiasts in the shape of a new high-value version of the CT200h hybrid.
The company has raided the parts bin and fitted a wide range of high-value extras into the new CT200h Advance and yet it costs little more than the regular SE model on which it is based.
The enhanced equipment list includes a new integrated satellite navigation system, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, a folding function for the electrically adjustable door mirrors, reversing camera, auto-dimming rear-view mirror with integrated parking monitor and metallic paint.
Lexus isn't saying what the true parts department value of all this kit adds up to, but it's a safe bet that it's considerably more than the £500 premium potential buyers are being asked to pay.
Priced at £24,495, the Advance also introduces Tahara, a new upholstery material that the company says is an attractive alternative to leather. Also new is the MoveOn navigation system, which can be operated using a touch pad integrated in the centre console below the gear selector.
In other respects the Advance mirrors the CT 200h SE specification, with features such as dual-zone climate control, push button start, Bluetooth, fog lights, rear privacy glass, 17-inch alloy wheels and a six-speaker audio system with USB port.
