IT'S a case of spot the difference as the latest version of Suzuki's Jimny hits the showrooms this week.

The basic shape of the little SUV remains the same but if you look hard enough you'll be able to spot a new front bumper and grille design, a redesigned bonnet incorporating a central air intake and repositioned front fog lamps.

Inside there's new fabric seat trim plus redesigned front and rear headrests while ISOFIX child seat mountings are now fitted as standard to the rear seats.

While what Suzuki calls "styling refreshments" may be minimal, the good news is that there's no increase in price with the SZ3 model costing £11,995.

The higher specification SZ4 model is priced at £12,900 with a manual gearbox or £13,800 with automatic transmission and features synthetic leather/cloth front seats with Jimny logo emblems, air conditioning, alloy wheels, leather trim steering wheel and rear privacy glass as standard equipment.

Both models retain an all-alloy, 16-valve 1.3-litre engine with push-button, selectable four-wheel drive and high and low gear ratios. Manual transmission models return an official 39.8mpg in combined cycle driving (38.7mpg for the automatic) with CO outputs of 162 and 167g/km respectively.
