Subaru hints at
design future
A HINT at the future design direction of Subaru will be revealed at next month's Geneva Motor Show in the shape of the new VIZIV concept car.
It is a future-generation crossover concept designed to underline the Japanese brand's values of Enjoyment and Peace of Mind.
The name VIZIV is inspired by the phrase Vision for Innovation and is aimed at showing Subaru's commitment to innovation across its range of All-Wheel Drive models.
And one of those, the fourth generation Forester will make its European debut at Geneva ahead of a UK sales date in May with the promise of improved performance, safety and efficiency along with a larger, higher quality cabin.
Subaru's unique Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system remains at the heart of the vehicle, which was recently awarded a maximum five-star safety rating by EuroNCAP.
Also on show will be the new Outback model, its 2.0-litre Boxer diesel engine now paired with Lineartronic CVT transmission for the first time, to give smoother gear-shifting and improved fuel efficiency.
The Outback diesel Lineartronic is due to arrive in the UK during the autumn.
