Skoda delivers a

techno treat

Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo Tech

A NEW limited edition version of Skoda's Fabia Monte Carlo model, but with more kit at no extra cost, is being launched by the Czech brand.

Named the Monte Carlo Tech, the newcomer will be limited to 1,000 cars and comes with a state-of-the-art Amundsen sat-nav system and Bluetooth connectivity.

That's in addition to a sports-styled exterior which includes piano black body trim, black door mirror covers, a black radiator grille top, smoked headlamps and black 17-inch lightweight alloy wheels.

Inside, the all black sports seats boast extra side support and both Monte Carlo Tech versions come with black roof lining, a perforated leather steering wheel with red stitching plus a leather handbrake and gearstick gaiter. Silver kick plates and steel pedals complete the look.

Cars are available in either red with a black roof or white with a black roof and two engines are up for grabs in the shape of a 1.2-litre TSI 105PS petrol unit and a 1.6-litre TDI 105PS diesel.

There will be 500 of each version, with prices of £11,990 for the petrol and £12,960 for the diesel.

The Fabia Monte Carlo was launched in January 2011 to celebrate 100 years of the Monte Carlo Rally and to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the company's commitment to motorsport.

Since then more than 4,000 have been sold and Skoda brand director Alasdair Stewart said: "Since its launch in 2011 the Fabia Monte Carlo has proven to be a huge success for Skoda and we're certain that this latest addition to the model line will build on this."
