ONE word sums up the stylish, streamlined and beautifully sculpted Audi TT and that's whoosh!
It's a car that's never really dated despite being around since 1998.
Admittedly it has undergone some upgrades in styling but the car still has that same instant appeal.
It looks magnificent from every angle thanks to its incredibly smooth lines, tinted windows, 18-inch alloys, body-coloured mirrors and door handles, smoked headlights and twin tailpipes.
Inside, it's impossible not to be impressed with the pure build quality and abundance of techno treats at your disposal.
The cabin oozes style and Audi has utilised the very finest leathers and materials to ensure this.
Creature comforts are plentiful and include black Alcantara leather seats, a racing-inspired three-spoke multi-function flat-bottomed steering wheel, a technology package with sat-nav, Bluetooth and Audi's music interface and a Bose surround sound system.
The interior is very snug and as is the case with most sports coupe models, storage is a little limited although the boot can certainly accommodate the weekly shopping or a couple of smaller cases. There are a number of handy storage compartments scattered throughout the cabin.
But there is so much more to the Audi TT than just looks and styling - this car has amazing driving dynamics and is happy to show them off at every opportunity.
Fitted with a 2.0-litre diesel engine and a six-speed manual transmission, the TT can race to 62mph from a standing start in 7.6 seconds and there is plenty of power on tap at all times.
It attacks bends for fun - the tighter, the better and road-holding is truly exceptional.
Admittedly, you will feel the occasional bump along the way, but that's all part of the fun factor when you drive a TT.
Audi claims to push the boundaries of safety and the TT is kitted out with a whole host of top notch safety features such as anti-lock brakes, traction control, electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic stability programme, numerous airbags, superior head restraints to reduce the severity of whiplash injures.
And the car is also fitted with Audi's quattro all-wheel-drive system which means you won't be fazed by the unexpected weather front.
All in all, the Audi TT is a great car - it is as good to drive as it is to look at and with so many models to choose from, would-be buyers can select the car to suit their individual needs and budget.
