Peugeot 108 Top!

CHOICE seems to be the watchword for Peugeot's new 108 as it comes as a hatchback or with a retractable fabric roof, in three or five-door body style and with the scope for extensive personalisation.

With compact dimensions, a tight turning circle and forward driving position for optimum vision, the newcomer is very much designed as an urban runabout.

The front end is dominated by a bold grille, central beam and lower air intake, while the front lamps contain LEDs for daytime running lights.

Inside, the 108's cabin is designed to be intuitive and includes a seven-inch touch screen, starter button coupled with the Peugeot Open and Go system and automatic air-con.

And for those opting for the soft-top 108 TOP! version, the electric control switch for the fabric roof - 80cm wide and 76cm long - is just above the rear view mirror and can adjust the opening to any position while an aero-acoustic deflector automatically reduces cabin turbulence.

Engines available from launch comprise four three-cylinder units in the shape of a 1.0-litre e-VTi 68bhp 5-speed manual boasting 88g/km of emissions and Stop & Start technology plus a pair of 1.0 VTi petrol versions with 95 or 97g/km.

There's also a 1.2-litre PureTech VTi 82bhp five-speed manual -with 99g/km of CO2.

Eight colours are available, including two which are exclusive to the model - the golden copper Aïkinite and Purple Berry, a shade of violet.

Reserved for the three-door hatchback are two versions of two-tone paint, Purple Berry and Zircon Grey, or Diamond White and Aïkinit and there are also three retractable fabric roof colours - Black, Grey or Purple Berry - to go with the 108 TOP! Model.

In addition, there are seven personalisation themes, three interior ambiences and a choice of six trims.
