Isuzu responds to
call of the Yukon
JAPANESE pick-up specialist Isuzu has has added an extra model to its D-Max line-up in the shape of a new Yukon variant.
It is the first time the extended cab version has been made available in the premium trim grade, to provide a pick-up that's both adaptable and luxurious.
The extended cab configuration features standard front seats, behind which is a large load area incorporating a fold-down rear bench for occasional use.
Priced from £19,249 the model is aimed at trade and leisure users who prefer the added exterior capacity of a longer rear load bed, require only occasional rear seating and who still want the interior refinement and kit.
Isuzu says the new variant, available from October, is the result of customer and dealer network feedback.
Yukon spec models feature equipment like cruise control, air-con, 17-inch alloy wheels, chrome grille and rear bumper, heavy-duty side steps, six-speaker surround-sound audio system with roof-mounted ‘Exciter' speaker, as well as projector headlamps and LED rear lights.
Power comes via a 2.5-litre twin-turbo diesel engine generating 163PS and is available with six-speed manual transmission.
Official fuel economy is 38.7mpg and the D-MAX can tow 3.5-tonnes (braked). The Yukon also comes with Isuzu's five-year / 125,000-mile warranty.
