EXTRA kit, lower emissions and a sharp fresh look are all part of the package for buyers of the new Infiniti Q70 saloon line-up for 2015.

The newcomer will cost from £32,650 and come kitted out with equipment like full LED front and rear lighting.

The upgraded line-up starts with a new Q70 2.2d model, powered by a four-cylinder diesel engine developed as part of Infiniti's strategic cooperation with Daimler.

Mated to a standard seven-speed auto transmission, available with paddle shifts depending on model, it emits 129g/km of CO2 while offering strong performance courtesy of a 170PS power output.

Replacing the 3.0-litre V6 diesel in the Q70 range, the new Premium 2.2d model also boasts chromed accents on the front grille, a rear-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, Connectiviti+ navigation, 18-inch wheels and ventilated leather seats.

While this variant is expected to prove top Q70 seller in the UK, there are other versions like Sport, with its more expressive look to the front bumper, uprated brakes and 20-inch wheels.

And Tech models come with Infiniti's Dynamic Safety Shield of intelligent cruise control, lane departure prevention and blind-spot intervention, along with Bose Premium Surround Sound with 16 speakers and an Around-View Monitor with moving object detection.

As well as the new 2.2 diesel engine, the Q70 for 2015 is also available with both 3.7-litre V6 petrol power and, for the flagship, the Infiniti Direct Response Hybrid powertrain.

The latest Q70 Hybrid offers strong performance - accelerating from 0-62mph in just 5.3s and improved efficiency, with CO2 emissions at 145g/km.
