SHARP styling, more kit, lower emissions and an attractive price tag are hallmarks of the new Q70 family saloon line-up from Infiniti.

The range has just been put on sale by the prestige manufacturer and kicks off at £32,650 with a new 2.2d model, powered by a four-cylinder diesel engine developed as part of Infiniti's strategic cooperation with Daimler.

Mated to a standard seven-speed automatic transmission with available paddleshift, this version produces 170PS of punch and only 129g/km of CO2 emissions.

Replacing the 3.0-litre V6 diesel in the range, the Premium 2.2d model comes as standard with LED headlights, chromed accents on the front grille, rear-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, Connectiviti+ navigation, 18-inch wheels and leather seats with ventilation.

The Nissan-owned brand expects this variant to prove the most popular Q70 variant in the UK market.

Other versions in the new line-up comprise a Sport version with a more expressive look to the front bumper, uprated brakes and 20-inch wheels.

And available with selected Premium and Sport models, Tech variants come with Infiniti's Dynamic Safety Shield of intelligent cruise control, lane departure prevention and blind-spot intervention, plus Bose Premium Surround Sound with 16 speakers.

There's also an Around-View monitor with moving object detection and forest air-con.

As well as the new 2.2 diesel engine, the Q70 is also available with both a 3.7-litre V6 petrol unit and Infiniti's hybrid powertrain - which can accelerate from 0-62 in 5.3 seconds.

New Q70 prices range from £32,650 for the Premium 2.2d to £46,600 for the Premium Tech Hybrid model.
