MINI fans can take advantage of a new Sport Pack introduced for any three or five-door Hatch model.

The new pack adds a raft of styling and performance kit to the Hatch's standard specification list and includes stuff like bonnet stripes, sport suspension, 17-inch Track Spoke alloy wheels in silver or black, a John Cooper Works steering wheel and JCW spoiler.

It costs from £3,300 on Cooper S models, and MINI's financial services people predict that the resale value of models specified with the pack could be enhanced by as much as 25 per cent.

MINI says the pricing of the Sport Pack will vary depending on model, so in the case of the One and One D variants it will be £4,500, the Cooper and Cooper D £4,300 and £3,300 for the Cooper S and Cooper D.

The MINI Hatch range grew last autumn with the introduction of the five-door Hatch - the first time the model has been offered with two rear doors.

Prices for the three-door Hatch start at £13,750 for the MINI One and range up to £19,450 for the MINI Cooper SD.

The five-door Hatch starts at £14,350 for the MINI One with the range-topping Cooper SD costing £20,050.
