THE amazing Infiniti Q50 comes with a mind blowing number of driver adjustments to suit personal taste or shape, and they can all be stored on the car's i-Key.

In fact, this key system can store the preferences of four different people, so that all the adjustments are made before you even get into the car.

The Q50S is a hybrid petrol/electric that does all its traffic work on electric power alone as long as there's juice in the batteries.

But talk about being all things to all men; put your foot down and you get smooth petrol V6 and electric motor working together to give huge acceleration of zero to 60 miles an hour in 5.2 seconds.

That's supercar territory - and so is the brilliant braking system. It even handles and holds the road like a much smaller car, thanks partly to four wheel drive.

The standard seven speed automatic is perfect and the only real problem is an unsettled ride at lower speeds.

The car I tested came with marvellous heated and electrically adjusted leather armchairs in the front and two colour screens to take care of sat nav, climate and everything else.
