YOU pays your money and you takes your choice when it comes to the Toyota Aygo, Citroen C1 or Peugeot 107 because they are all built in the same factory.
They have the same body but different faces and are all powered by the same 67bhp Toyota-designed 1.0-litre three cylinder petrol engine.
This is one of the Aygo's strengths. I have driven a couple of them over the years and they are very enjoyable but you do have to wind it up to get anything like reasonable performance.
It's a car best suited to town work, where its nippy nature, reasonably comfortable ride and easy parking make it just about perfect.
There's not much acceleration for overtaking on the open road, but it can just about keep up with the traffic flow on the motorway.
However, it is pretty noisy over a long journey and the stereo has to be turned way up to be able to hear it.
Running costs are among the lowest you can get and if you go for a recent model, the remainder of Toyota's five year, 99,000 mile warranty should come with it.
