Hyundai i40

THE latest version of the popular Hyundai i40 model will cost from £19,600 for the saloon variant in entry level S trim. Tourer estates are from £20,850.

That's for a car that boasts standard features like 16-inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth, air-con, leather steering wheel, automatic headlights with dusk sensor and steering wheel audio with phone controls.

New to the line-up is an SE Nav trim grade, which includes touchscreen sat-nav with rear view parking camera and parking guidance system.

Priced from £21,600, the SE Nav adds to the S-model's specification with DAV radio, auto dimming rear view mirror, climate control with auto defog, heated front seats, LED front fog lights and a seven speaker sounds system.

And this trim level can be enhanced further in the SE Nav Business model, from £23,100, with keyless smart entry with start/stop button and driver's seat memory function.

The flagship Premium models start at £25,600 and feature 18-inch alloy wheels, panoramic sunroof with electric tilt and slide, luggage net, supervision instrument cluster with LCD colour display and lane departure warning.

Hyundai's UK chief Tony Whitehorn said: "The introduction of new i40 Tourer and Saloon means that the Hyundai range now has a fresher and more dynamic look, with changes aimed to appeal particularly to the requirements of our fleet customers."

It means the car gets the Korean company's Blue Drive technologies across a choice of three engines - 115PS a 1.7-litre diesel with six-speed manual transmission, a 141PS 1.7-litre diesel also with six-speed gearbox and the same unit with seven-speed DCT.
