TOYOTA has lifted the wraps from a pair of dynamic special edition variants of its popular Aygo city car.

The models, named x-cite and x-pure, will cost from £11,295 when they arrive in August and each carries a different style theme.

The updated x-cite version follows in the tyreprints of the original x-cite model, replacing that car'sOrange Twist paintwork with a Cyan Splash colour.

And the blue metallic bodywork contrasts with gloss black custom features like 15-inch twin-spoke alloy wheels, door mirror casings, front pillar extensions and rear bumper inserts.

That theme continues to the cabin where the Cyan Blue shade is featured on the air vent surrounds and carpet mat edging.

The seats are finished in dark grey with blue and light grey bolsters while the centre console and gearshift surround are in a gloss black.

There's also a bi-tone version of x-cite, which adds metallic black painted roof and front and rear pillars, plus rear privacy glass for an extra £395.

Kit includes the Japanese brand's x-touch multimedia system with Bluetooth and DAB plus a reversing camera, along with the likes of air-con, leather steering wheel and LED daytime runninglights.

Three and five door versions are up for grabs, powered by a 1.0-litre engine with manual or automatic transmission, CO2 emisions from 95g/km and the potential for an average fuel return of 68.9mpg.

Meanwhile, the Aygo x-pure has White Flash paintwork on the outside along with rear privacy glass, white-painted alloys and silver-finished bodywork elements.

Inside, the standard grey seat fabric is accompanied by white and light grey bolsters and the centre console and gearshift surround follow the trend with a silver-white finish.
