SPECIAL editions of Volkswagen's Amarok pick-up truck are coming on stream with a limited run of 500 high specification models.

The all-wheel-drive Atacama versions of the Amarok are available in either white, blue or black paint jobs and come with 19-inch alloys as well as black rear styling bars and a black rear bumper.

They also feature special body decals, bi-xenon headlights, a black door pillar finish and protective loadbed coating as well as leather trim and sat nav.

The Amarok Atacamas are priced from £27,715 excluding VAT and are powered by VW's 2.0-litre biturbo 180ps diesel engine with either six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmissions which cost from £29,560.

Retail prices including VAT are £33,202 for the manual and £35,416 for the auto.
