THESE are the first images of the new Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe in action only weeks before it is unveiled to the world.
The new supercar will have its premier alongside the latest C-Class Coupe at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.
Powered by a 4.0-litre biturbo V8 developing either 476 or 510 horsepower, the new C63 Coupe has blistering credentials hitting 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds and capable of 180mph.
That's with an optional AMG Driver's Package fitted - for regular use it is it tops out at a limited 155mph - and as such it becomes the pacesetter in its class, quicker than the BMW M4 and Audi's RS5.
The new C63 Coupe is fitted with electronic damping and a multi-mode transmission sequence hooked up to a limited-slip differential on the rear axle.
Despite its awesome firepower Mercedes says it can manage 32.8mpg with emissions as low as 200g/km.
Compared to the C63 saloon the coupe is almost three inches wider with flared wheel arches and sits on tyres which are 255mm at the front and 285 at the rear.
It is also longer with the bonnet stretched by more than two inches to accommodate two power bulges which give the coupe dramatic looks.
The C63 Coupe sits on 18-inch alloys while the more powerful C63 S Coupe comes with 19-inch rims.
Aerodynamic tweaks can be found across the body giving the car its characteristic AMG venom while the exhaust note can be artificially enhanced for added growl.
The car is fitted with a fast-shifting seven speed automatic transmission that is honed for performance and comes with a race-mode as standard making the car track ready.
Both the new C-Class Coupe and the C63 will have their world premier on September 15 at the start of the Frankfurt show.
