A TRIO of new models is on the way from Kia including a new SUV and a plug-in hybrid.
The high flying Korean brand took the wraps off the latest Sportage and its new Optima saloon at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Both will be on sale in the UK in the next few months alongside a revamped version of the cee'd hatchback.
The new Optima, which has been embellished inside and out will also be available as a GT model powered by a 2.0-litre turbo engine and as a sporty looking estate.
Looking ahead, Kia also announced that a plug-in hybrid Optima with a rechargeable petrol-electric powertrain would be launched next year.
The new Sportage was given its world premiere at Frankfurt and is the third generation of Kia's top selling SUV.
With a more rounded look than the current model the Sportage has been given a striking road presence with large front nacelles either side of the grille each housing a cluster of four LED fog lamps.
A sporty looking GT Line version will also be part of the new Sportage line up which is slightly bigger than before and comes with a 503 litre boot.
It is also bang up to date inside, with a dashboard that is focused on a full colour display screen.
Kia was also showing off its latest engineering in the form of a seven speed dual clutch transmission and a new three-cylinder 1.0-litre turbo engine which will be included in the latest cee'd which is due to be released in Britain in October.
