Clio goes Iconic for

A TRIO of ‘iconic' models is being released by Renault including a special to mark the Clio's 25 anniversary in Britain.

The so-called Iconic specification is being introduced on all of the French firm's small cars and sees the Twingo, Clio and Captur come with extra equipment inside and out.

The Clio Iconic is priced from £16,775 and features 17-inch alloy wheels with black inserts, chrome window sills, extra-tinted rear windows and tailgate, and distinctive cross-hatch-style wing mirror decals as standard while inside it has part leather upholstery and additional trim features.

It is badged the Clio Iconic 25 to celebrate the car's silver jubilee with the supermini first going on sale in the UK in 1991 and promoted with the famous ‘Papa and Nicole' advertising campaign featuring Estelle Skornik and Max Douchin.

The Twingo Iconic special edition costs from £11,845 and the Captur Iconic Nav is available from £18,395.
