COMPACT crossover the SsangYong Tivoli is now available through the Motability Scheme.

It means disabled motorists can lease a new Tivoli using their higher rate mobility allowance.

The Tivoli has received rave reviews since hitting UK streets earlier this year and represents serious value for money motoring with prices from £12,950 - and from £99 advance payment for Motability Scheme customers.

There are three trim levels - SE, EX, ELX - and the petrol cars are powered by a 1.6-litre engine, with six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission.

Tivoli models boats the space for five adults to travel in comfort, a boot capacity of between 423 and 1,115 cubic litres, a high level of safety with seven airbags across the range.

SE versions are finished in a smart grey cloth trim and include 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, a stop/go system, Smart steering - normal, comfort and sport modes - and an RDS/Bluetooth radio and seven airbags.

The EX adds the option of auto transmission, grey or beige leather upholstery, 18-inch alloys, dual zone climate control, seven-inch touchscreen audio system with rear view camera, heated front seats, front fog lights and a luggage load cover.

At the top of the range, the ELX features Diamond cut alloys, a smart instrument cluster, smart keyless starting, front and rear parking sensors, privacy glass, rear spoiler, auto headlamps, rain sensing wipers, TomTom navigation and rear view camera.

SsangYong UK chief Paul Williams said: "We embarked on the Motability Scheme in May and it has already proved extremely popular, helping a lot of people to get mobile in a SsangYong.

"With prices starting from just £12,950 and backed by our class leading five year limitless mileage warranty, the Tivoli has been very well received by customers and the press alike."

The Tivoli joins the Korando SUV, Rexton 4x4 and Turismo MPV already offered on the scheme, and is available to those receiving the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance, the Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment, the War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement or the Armed Forces Independence Payment.
