ASTON Martin is taking the V8 Vantage to the extreme with a limited run of road-going versions of its Le Mans racer.
Just 150 examples of the Vantage GT8 will be produced, each priced from £165,000.
For that comes a car dressed to the nines with a 4.7-litre V8 engine pushed to 446ps.
The carbon-fibre GT8 is 100kg lighter than a standard V8 Vantage which results in a 0 to 60 time of 4.4 seconds, topping out at 190mph and at 1.51 tonnes it is the lightest Vantage Aston has produced.
The GT8 will be available either with a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed paddle shift set up and the car sits on 19-inch alloys.
A seven spoke centre lock magnesium wheel is an option as is an aero pack which includes a large rear wing as fitted to the Vantage GTE racing car that is competing in this year's World Endurance Championship.
Like the GTE, the Vantage GT8 has cutaway front wheel arches and the car sits low with its nose dominated by a wide aerodynamic splitter at road level.
Despite its race car pedigree the Vantage GT8 comes with air conditioning, sat nav and a 160 Watt sound system as well as Aston Martin's connectivity and infotainment equipment.
The limited edition models also feature a sill plaque denoting their exclusivity while the headrests are embroidered with a GT8 legend.
