KOREAN car maker SsangYong has added an LE version to the line-up of its latest Korando crossover.
It is powered by a new powertrain featuring a 2.2-litre diesel Euro 6 engine and comes with two-wheel drive with either a six-speed manual or an Aisin six-speed automatic transmission.
The newly developed e-XDi220 diesel engine has maximum power of 178bhp and maximum torque of 400Nm are delivered from a low of 1,400rpm and maintained through a wide range up to 2,800rpm which SsangYong say will appeal to those who need towing capability.
CO2 emissions are claimed at 139g/km, while fuel economy is up to 53.3mpg on a combined run.
The new LE model has been designed by the Italian styling house Giugiaro and sports clear glass direction indicators, a piano black radiator grille and distinctive 18in diamond cut alloy wheels and sidesteps on this new offering.
The Korando LE also features a seven-inch high-resolution touchscreen with audio streaming from smart devices and a link to the rear view camera, as well as a TomTom navigation system, including a USB memory slot and Aux-in and HDMI ports.
Other features include automatic air conditioning, heated front seats, privacy glass, rear spoiler with high mounted LED brake light and rear parking sensors.
The six-speed manual version costs £17,995 and the automatic £18,995.
