Octavia for 2017
SKODA has announced major revisions to its biggest seller, the Octavia, which will go on sale in the UK early next year.
Among the changes there is a new design to the front and rear of both the saloon and estate versions.
They will also come with the latest full-LED headlight technology, a new generation infotainment systems, additional driver assistance systems and TSI petrol and TDI engines.
The new power plants available from launch in the UK are a 1.0 TSI 115bhp, a 1.4 TSI 150bhp, 1.6 TDI 115bhp and 2.0 TDI 150bhp.
A DSG semi automatic transmission with six or seven gears will be available in addition to manual models on almost all engines in the revised Octavia range.
Interior space in the revised models remains one of the largest in its class with plenty of luggage space and there is an optional electric tailgate available for the estate.
New features include a customisable key allowing different users to save their own vehicle settings, a heated steering wheel, super grippy bottle holders which allow drinks containers to be opened and the estate version features a removable torch in the boot.
Prices for the new Octavias are still to be announced.
