MERCEDES-AMG has announced prices for its stunning GT Roadster range which has just gone on sale in the UK.

The super-fast, up-market range features a four-litre bi-turbo V8 engine. In the GT Roadster this generates 476bhp, while the GT C Roadster adds an additional 81bhp (557bhp) and can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.0 seconds, while in the GT C Roadster it takes just 3.7 seconds.

Fuel consumption for such powerful sports cars is surprisingly good with the GT Roadster claimed to deliver up to 30.1 mpg on the combined cycle and the GT C around 24.8mpg.

Both the GT R and GT C models come with a three-layer fabric roof which opens or closes electrically in around eleven seconds and can be operated at speeds of up to 31mph.

The GT Roadster comes as standard with 19-inch alloy wheels, AMG Panamericana grille, wind deflector, performance exhaust system, heated AMG sports seats with Airscarf, and black Nappa leather upholstery.

Further up the range the GT C Roadster has 19/20-inch alloy wheels, Burmester surround sound, parktronic with reversing camera, keyless-go package, active air control system (flaps in the lower front bumper adjust according to the vehicle speed - thus increasing high-speed stability and reducing drag), AMG Panamericana grille, AMG performance steering wheel and red brake calipers with ‘AMG' lettering.

At the top of the GT range, the AMG GT R Coupe generates 585bhp and can travel from 0 to 62mph in 3.6 seconds. It emits 259 g/km of COand delivers a combined fuel economy of 24.8 mpg.

Standard gear on the range-topper includes sports bucket seats, carbon fibre roof, yellow brake calipers, high-performance exhaust system, static rear aerofoil, Parktronic, AMG interior night package (including black door sills, steering wheel gear shift paddles in black, black inserts below the head restraints, black strut in the luggage compartment) sports tyres and AMG performance steering wheel.

The new Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster prices run from £110,145. The AMG GT C Roadster starts at £139,445, while the AMG GT R comes in at £143,245.
