Something special
from SsangYong
THIS is the latest special edition seven-seater from SsangYong which the Korean company says is ideal for business or family motoring.
The Black or White special comes, as you would expect, with distinctive metallic black or white paint job and includes a smart new dark grey interior complete with new style seating.
It is based on the top-of-the-range Turismo ELX with selectable four-wheel drive and these special editions come with a higher specification that includes a seven-speed Mercedes-Benz automatic transmission, cruise control, parking sensors, rear seating privacy glass, 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, roof rails, heated front seats, rain sensing wipers and automatic headlights.
Other special features include a heated steering wheel, Kenwood DAB radio and sat nav.
At over five metres long and with a three-metre wheelbase, the Turismo is larger than a standard sized people carrier, and features an upgraded 2.2 litre Euro 6 diesel engine.
The Turismo provides a spacious interior in which seven adults can travel in comfort with their luggage loaded in the back without having to compromise on passenger accommodation.
There are three rows of seats as well as the large load space which can be further increased by removing the third row completely. This gives a load carrying capability of between 875 litres with seven adults seated, through to two adults and 3,146 litres of load space.
With its selectable four wheel drive with low ratio the Turismo is especially safe and practical whether towing a caravan, horsebox or boat trailer, or when driving on snow and ice, and has an impressive two tonne towing capacity.
The Black or White models are available from £26,250.
