DRIVERS of high performance Volkswagen Golfs can now do even more to make their motors stand out on the road with the addition of a new body kit plus a revised silencer designed to make the car sound sportier.

The stainless steel exhaust system is a quad set-up, which means the GTD gains exhaust tailpipes on the right of the car, while the GTI increases its number of tailpipes from two to four.

Befitting its position at the top of the range, the Golf R receives honed quad tailpipes with valve control. For all models, the exhaust tailpipes are 84 mm in diameter. In addition, the new muffler alters the exhaust note to produce an even more sporty sound.

Complementing the quad exhaust system is a purposeful rear diffuser which offers enhanced aerodynamic ability. Other features include special side skirts and a new rear roof spoiler which incorporates open flaps. At the front, the kit adds a new spoiler and bespoke splitter.

Designed and engineered by Germany's Oettinger company, the kits are available for the GTD, GTi and R versions of the Golf and are available from Volkswagen dealers priced at £3,995 for the GTD and GTI versions, and £5,225 for the Golf R including painting and fitting.
