THE recently refreshed BMW 7 Series range has a new flagship model, the BMWM760LixDrive.

It comes with a powerful 12-cylinder petrol engine with MPerformance TwinPower Turbo technology plus added dynamic driving characteristics.

Its power pack is a 6.6-litre V12 which develops output of 610bhp giving it a claimed limited top speed 155mph and a 0-62mph sprint time of just 3.7 seconds, and if the optional Mdriver's package is specified, the speed limiter doesn't cut in until 189mph.

Claimed fuel consumption on a combined run is 22.1mpg with CO2emissions at 294g/km.Power transfer is via the state-of-the-art eight-speedSteptronic Sport transmission as standard.

The new flagship comes with active roll stabilisation which minimises body movements, and the system teams up with performance tyres, fitted to exclusive 20-inch Mlight-alloy wheels in matt Cerium Grey metallic.

A rear-biased BMWxDrive all-wheel-drive system takes its lead from the available grip levels to distribute engine power to all four wheels and it comes with 19-inch M Sport brakes, with blue metallic brake callipers and Mbadging.

The driving assistant plus system on the range-tipper includes lane keeping assistant with active side collision protection, rear collision prevention and crossing traffic warning functions plus active cruise control with stop-go and new generation of the surround view system which includes a 3D view and panorama view option in the control display.

Inside, the M760Li comes with electrically adjustable front seats with memory function and black fine wood interior trim strips with high-gloss metal effects, deep-pile floor mats in the rear compartment and an Alcantara anthracite headliner, Nappa leather trim covers the seat surfaces, seat side sections, head restraints, door cards, centre armrests and side armrests.

An on sale date and prices have yet to be announced.
